25% of Israel’s population have disabilities of various types.
Very large of these disabilities need some adjustments that will allow them to browse and experience the full web site.
Web accessibility, besides the familiar menu for choosing font size and color, includes the addition of special links that are not visible to the regular surfers and allows people with disabilities to access the site through their tools (screen scanners, browsing tools, etc.).
In addition, a quarter of the population constitutes a respectable market share that should be addressed, in October 2016, a site access law that allows for the claiming of any inaccessible site that was not exempt from access will come into force, up to NIS 50,000 without proof of damage.
Accessible websites of businesses and companies with annual turnover must be over NIS 500,000.
